My client also powers political, construction and environmental intelligence brands and are doing some really exciting stuff having recently gone through a transformation.

The Opportunity

You will be working within the Marketing Performance & Automation team, the successful candidate will be expected to be both a subject matter expert in all things digital analytics, hire and develop a team of 2-3 as well as drive the digital analytics measurement framework and implementation of the group-wide digital analytics dashboard. We are looking for an advanced practitioner who is comfortable executing as well as being able to develop and manage a new team.

The business is going through a significant period of transformation, and the digital analytics manager role will be a key hire both for marketing and the wider organisation. The expectation for this role is to eventually grow into a Head of Digital Analytics. 

The Digital Analytics Manager will work closely with the Marketing Automation team to drive visibility and commercial decisions around Marketing Automation initiatives as well as working closely with our product teams to drive insight around the performance of our products in order to help build features for the product roadmap.  Further, the Digital Analytics Manager will work closely with our various agencies and SMEs across the group in order to ensure we are in line with our commercial targets. 

As a new team, the central marketing performance and automation function will be using analytics Partners to accelerate our digital measurement agenda. It is important that the Digital Analytics Manager is a strong commercial leader both in terms of agency/supplier partners as well as direct reports.  To be successful the candidate should have a knowledge on multi-channel marketing and be comfortable setting up such measurement frameworks, tracking taxonomies, familiarity with the wider digital marketing eco-system and how this integrates would be beneficial, this covers tools and techniques such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, re-targeting techniques, organic and paid social, and paid advertising (this list is not exhaustive).

Experience and skills required:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a web/digital analyst working across multichannel global businesses
  • Demonstrable analytical and numerical skills
  • Google Analytics qualified
  • Must have technical experience of tag creation and implementation as well as proficient in developing detailed tracking specs for data layer implementation
  • Previous experience of working in a global organisation in a Matrix-style would be highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, product and video analytics is a must
  • Experience of using Big Query and SQL 
  • Dashboarding experience is a must
  • Exposure to Datorama preferred
  • Must be able to prioritize own workload
  • Exposure to Salesforce and Marketo would be advantageous
  • Experience of integrating tracking across Performance channels and Marketing automation initiatives to deliver composite insights is required
  • Experience of MTA models
  • CRO experience is preferable.
