Team: Integrated Analytics

My client is global media agency designed to make media exciting, fun and life changing. For the last 20 years our values of Speed, Teamwork and Provocation have guided our 10,000 people who work with some of the world’s best brands and companies. Located in 116 offices across 86 countries, we are the largest media agency in GroupM, WPP’s media investment management arm, which is the #1 media holding group globally. This sector is the headquarters for my client, based in London. We are a team of 400+ people, co-ordinating media campaigns for our global clients.

The Role

We are looking for a Performance Analytics Director within the worldwide Integrated Analytics team based in London.

This person will be at the core of delivering performance analytics for renowned clients. This would be a great opportunity for an ambitious seasoned professional with expertise in digital and performance analytics, platform analytics and marketing effectiveness. 

Responsibilities

  • Support senior management in ensuring that my clients Performance Analytics capabilities are state-of the-art
  • Oversee delivery of digital analytics projects including, but not limited to, forecasting, attribution and insight reporting
  • Use analytics methodologies to identify new opportunities to optimise performance across digital channels, clients’ websites and beyond
  • Work closely with digital activation teams to propose and deliver analytical solutions to drive more efficient and valuable performance
  • Employ a wide range of tools, combine quantitative and qualitative data to learn how users are engaging with brands
  • Using multi-touch attribution technology and techniques, work with the teams and client strategy teams to develop a fully integrated approach to channel management and planning
  • Deliver training programs for the wider Integrated Analytics and Outcomes teams to increase digital and web analytics capabilities across the agency
  • Liaise with the wider Integrated Analytics team to combine analysis and planning of both digital and non-digital media.
  • Champion Performance Analytics throughout the business, promoting the benefits of its services
  • Mentor junior members of the team.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Considerable relevant experience in a digital analytics role, ideally within an agency/consultancy environment
  • Advanced user of web analytics tools (Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics)
  • Strong knowledge of performance marketing, including experience of reporting on and analysing performance data on platforms such as Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Snap, TikTok, etc.
  • Knowledge of multi-touch attribution approaches
  • A firm grasp of data storytelling
  • Experience using data visualisation tools (PowerBI and / or  Google Data Studio)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Is tenacious and keen to solve problems through data-driven solutions and processes. Is proactive, innovative and adaptive.
  • Thrives in very fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Can independently manage projects, multi-task and prioritise based on workloads and importance. Pays close attention to detail.
  • Client-facing experience, including presenting complex analytical concepts in a manner that is easily understood by non-expert audiences

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience of managing a small analytics team (2-3 analysts)
  • Has an excellent understanding of the digital marketing mix
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics and ML and familiarity with Python
  • Can develop robust opinions on digital marketing and has the confidence to express them concisely
  • Excellence at building effective relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and clients
