OVERVIEW

My client is one of the world’s most recognisable media publishing conglomerates and they are looking for a Programmatic Analyst as an integral member of their global programmatic offering across the Media conglomerate. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, with wide exposure to the programmatic sell-side ecosystem. 

The successful candidate will work with the commercial team to maximize programmatic ad revenue across display, mobile and video. You will develop a great understanding of all commercial products and work closely with the integration & data team to ensure best-in-class performance. They will possess a strong command of the digital ad ecosystem, including ad technology, programmatic buying, operational oversight, sales product configuration, campaign analysis and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Closely monitor commercial data and identify any significant fluctuations to key metrics (Rev per page, ad requests, fill, eCPM, VTR, CTR,PV’s).
  • Evaluate the configuration and performance of the different partners & products within the programmatic ad stack.
  • Generate in-depth analytics and reporting to identify meaningful business trends that inform the business’s monetization practices across all products (App/Display/Video/Amp/FBIA).
  • Launch new products/solutions with the support of the wider team. Create test plans to accurately measure KPIs and control for extraneous variables.
  • Own the relationship with multiple programmatic vendors and ensure we’re utilising their technology effectively and exploring new opportunities.
  • Offer innovative recommendations to programmatic partners, campaign optimisation and sales teams to boost performance and upsell opportunities.
  • Audit commercial data to ensure consistency and accuracy. Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion.
  • Troubleshoot live site issues relating to programmatic partners or products.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, keeping up to date with new ad tech functionality and understanding the potential opportunities presented by specific tech developments.
  • Support with training and management of junior team members.

Experience/Skills 

  • 4 years Digital media experience.
  • Experience in using programmatic platforms (Ad servers, DSP’s, SSP’s, DMP’s, & other intermediaries used for programmatic trading).
  • Excellent understanding of tools/processes used to facilitate programmatic sell CMP (tcfv2 consent strings), ads.txt, sellers.json, SPO, brand safety and verification.  
  • Familiarity with Internet protocols, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills with a creative problem-solving mindset. 
  • High proficiency in excel with the ability to analyze, summarize, and manipulate large volumes of data.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to organize concepts and data into top line information suitable for C-  level presentations.
  • Ability to prioritize between conflicting needs and changing priorities, advocate courses of action, pursue consistently to completion and communicate results. 
  • Ability to deconstruct a tool/task, understand the individual moving parts and decide which of these are optimal or could use improvement. 
  • Mature, innovative and creative, with a strong track record collaborating in a team environment.
  • Experience with Python/API’s is a plus.
