OVERVIEW

The Company

My client is one of the world’s largest newspaper website, they are based in Central London and looking for someone to join their technology department and work on a really exciting project. They are looking at ways to monetise its user base, editorial content and advertising inventory through the introduction of subscription-based business models.

Within this role, you will be supporting the subscriptions department and working and reporting into the Subscriptions Director.

You will be required to utilise the data insight analytics to help the business to; interpret performance, maximise customer LTV (from acquisition through to winback), optimise conversion rates, identify opportunities and understand audience customer behaviour across both browser and App platforms and desktop, tablet and smartphone devices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports, including conversion funnel and MVT analysis, providing analysis of results when sending to the team.
  • Quick turnaround to answer questions with accurate data, well thought out analysis, and recommendations based on findings.
  • Pro-active analysis of data sets to identify route cause of problems, trends and anomalies.  Become the early alert system raising awareness of important observations.
  • Project-based analysis support providing requirements, testing frameworks and models
  • Responsible for A/B Testing analysis and recommendation for E-Commerce website optimisation
  • Ability to translate business and commercial issues into an analytical brief and skilled in producing written reports and presenting results of analysis.
  • Automate and validate the weekly scorecard requirements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in delivering customer and digital data analysis
  • Commercially minded with experience working in a large, fast-paced, dynamic organisation
  • Analytical with high levels of logical thinking problem-solving skills

Tool experience:

  • Web analytics – Adobe Analytics high-level proficiency
  • Data visualisation – ideally Tableau or alternatively Qlikview
  • SQL
